The Firehole River, Gardner River

8/28-29/05 Y.N.P.

This year my wife Christina and I convoyed over to Yellowstone with My brother Tim and his family Carmin, Nathaniel, and Emma. I have not found the photos from the first day at the infamous "Lewis & Clark CAVES" near the Jefferson river. So I will start with the 2nd camp. Bison where hanging around camp when we got to the Madison campground.

After setting up camp My brother Tim & I head for the Firehole river for a quick wet of the line.

Tim fishes the Firehole river canyon.

Bill releases a pretty little rainbow.

Emma & Nathaniel at the Madison campground.

After having breakfast the next morning Christina and I head north to the Gardner river for some fishing while Tim and his family do some sight seeing around the Park.

This is the Gardner river at the high bridge... we get ready to walk down to the river for a little fishing.

It didn't take long to get into a nice little brown trout.

Back to the water for you.

Next was this rainbow.

Back to the water for you too.

Snake skin cowboy... who the hell you think you are? (some of you might not get that)

The high bridge over the Gardner river. Do you think Tina's looking forward to hiking back to the top?

Bill and Tina have lunch at the pond on the hill above the town of Gardner MT.

After lunch we get a camp at Slough creek and fish a bit before dark.

Tying flies for the next day.

Go Back...
