Yellowstone National Park Trip 9/4/04
After scoring a spare rod at a local pawn shop my brother Jim & I head for the International fly fishing center.

1st stop...
I was touched to see this by `Tom Tully.
A coachman trude tied by Tom.

One of Tom's flies from my collection.
A quick stop at Dan Bailey's before heading toward Gardner & Jardine.

|
After arriving at Gardner we stopped at Helen's for a Buffalo Burger for dinner. This has been a tradition for 10 years at least and if you are in the vicinity you are really missing out if you don't have one. |
|
After picking up our burgers we head up the hillside to the little mining community of Jardine to have dinner with a view overlooking Gardner and the north entrance to Yellowstone. We stopped and ate at this beautiful little pond before briefly exploring the area. |
Another view with the pond in the background. I thought this might make a good wallpaper picture.
|
After seeing elk, black bear, antelope, and deer we stop for the all familiar buffalo jam as we head toward the mountains behind Cooke city to camp for the night. Tomorrow... FISH. |
