*Notes - This set of flies came about from experimenting with the "rolled muddler" pattern. The rolled muddler is used a lot in the northwest for sea run cutthroat. I've found that sometimes the trout seemed to hit better on the more subdued colors in some of the local streams. Also I was looking for a less buoyant material to use for the head rather than deer hair. This is what I ended up with. I got the head materials in a sample pack from somewhere and I don't know what it is. Can someone help? I would like to find some more. Click here to see what it looks like. It's kind of sparkly like antron or something but it is course and dubs very spiky.
