Hamma Hamma River 7-19/20-03

5 Photo's to get this shot of my brother Tim working this crystal clear pocket. Can you see him?

Saturday morning started with a cup of coffee and a few minutes at the tying table. Muddler Minnows! All slightly different.

After picking up my brother we were on the stream by mid day. We drove to the upper section of river and fished the pockets.

It didn't take long and I was into a rainbow.

Now that is my kind of silhouette.

After a few more fish, it's time to explore down river and find a camping spot for the night.

Camp sweet camp.

Fish right from camp.

Wild raspberries. We also found huckleberries, blackberries, thimbleberries, & salmonberries.

... and Bee's.

Tim & Bill at camp.

This was the hole at our camp.

So far all the fish seem to be scrappy little rainbows... much fun.

No need to set flowers at this table... it's cold chicken for us. All fish get released back to the water.

A cozy fire and we are dreaming about the following morning & trout.

The best alarm clock.

5:30 AM... do you know where your trout is?

Never mind, I found him.

Tim looking for that perfect fly.

Remains of an old bridge long since gone.

These are some really beautiful fish. (click for a larger view)

I didn't expect one of these little beauties.

Brook trout.

One last view... We will return.

After I got home I found this stonefly in my gear. He's about an inch and a half long.
