Tim, Bill, Jim Montana Trip 7-26-06

Beaver Creek Cabin, West Fork of the Madison

This is Beaver Creek. After leaving West Yellowstone we head north past Hebgen lake and Quake lake then make a right on a gravel road heading up Beaver creek to the forest service cabin that we have rented for the night. This set of photos is a view looking down from the gravel road to Beaver creek, we fished it for a little while but didn't have very much luck.

While we unlocked the gate Jim snapped this picture of the private drive to the cabin.

At $35 a night the cabin was a bargain and very private as long as your ok with an outhouse and no running water.

The front yard.

Jim, Bill, and Tim chillin' on the front porch.

After unloading at the cabin we arrive at the West Fork of the Madison for some fishing.

It didn't take long to hook into a nice brown.

Back to the water.

Tim fishing a nice little run.

Jim and Bill on the west fork of the Madison.

God's great work.

Taking a break before heading back.

Back at the cabin for the night.

While we were in West Yellowstone we picked up some Buffalo burger, onions, and potatoes. This only meant one thing. Buffalo Hash! And we were all over it like a bad rash.

I take a break from cutting spuds and take these photos while Tim lights the burner.

Tim eagerly stirred the hash and the aroma filled the air.

Oh lord was this some grubbin' stuff. After a day of fishing nothing tasted better!

Mmm, Mmm, good!

Go Back...
