Tim, Bill, Jim Montana Trip (Day 4)

7-23-06 Soda Butte Creek

& The Lamar River Y.N.P., MT

Silver Gate cabins... home for two nights and a much needed shower.

Oh, and a quick nap for Tim & Jim.

Soda Butte creek in Yellowstone NP.

My little war bonnet emerger.

A little cutthroat caught on Soda Butte creek.

And another. Now it's time to head to the Lamar River canyon.

The Lamar River Canyon.

Once at the Lamar Tim hooks into a nice one. Jim snapped this photo.

Trout food.

A coffee bean beetle worked very well and floated like a cork.

But in hindsight. Is it a legal fly? Hmm... I'm going to have to find out.

Another photo of Bill's coffee trout.

A self portrait by Jim.

Tim photos this foam biscuit which often have trout lurking underneath.

Snack time.

We had to stop for a Buffalo jam on the way back to the room.

And those suckers got pretty darn close.

Go Back...
