Yellowstone National Park Trip 9/29/03
The Lamar River, Our 1st full day on the river.
The first fish of the day was this beautiful Yellowstone Cutthroat.
Time to go back in the water.

That last fish was caught right under this foam.
Another one on.
Ditto...

Antlers.

Cutthroat.
Mayfly.
Another gets released to fight another time.
This brown quill did very well.
This rainbow fell for the size 14 brown quill.
That last rainbow came out of this hole.

This one appeared to be a Cutt-bow. Jim took this photo.
For some reason since I started fly fishing I take more photo's of bugs (spiders too)... go figure.
Believe it or not, we did not get tired of this.
This time a wasp poses for the camera eye.
Another Cutt-Bow.

It is amazing to see what water & time will do to huge boulders.
Distinct cutthroat markings on this Yellowstone Cutt.
A car drives by as the sun sets. A great day of fishing nears the end.

Nights are cold at 6500 ft. so it was nice to have a campfire after the burn ban.
to be continued...
