Two small lakes in the Olympics, WA 10-26-2008

An unnamed lake in the Olympics, WA.

A nice size beautifully colored brookie.

First I tried a dry fly cast right above the fish... nothing. Then an un weighted big size 6 muddler inches above the fish... nothing. Then I weighted it and put it under the fishes nose and wham, or more like ok I guess I better bite this thing. Not much of a fighter but beautifully colored fish for sure.

Tim walks along the bank of this very difficult to fish lake. A float tube would sure be useful in this situation.

Looking down on the second lake gives you an idea of the beautiful blue color of the water.

Lake number two.
